Indian Police Apprehend Crypto Investment Scammers in Maharashtra

Indian police have arrested several suspects involved in cryptocurrency investment scams across Maharashtra. The suspects, including Mohammad Subhani Mohammed Umar Khan, Gufran Khan, and Sahil Mustafa Quereshi, were remanded in police custody following a court order. The arrests were made possible with assistance that helped locate the suspects spread across various regions. The scam came to light after a 19-year-old student from Chembur filed a complaint with the Mumbai police, stating he was scammed after showing interest in cryptocurrency investments in November 2024.
